Hedge Your Bets!
Or why this is the time to get your hedges trimmed
May is finally here, and with it the warmer weather! Today topped off In Kent at a whopping 28 degrees. Practically tropical. And around this time of year, what we find starts to happen is people sit out in their gardens for the first time since September, look around at the trees and hedges, and give us a call.
For most people, they barely thought about their hedges through the winter. Maybe they gave some thought to a tree that was rocking in those strong October winds, but the hedges tend to be forgotten about until the spring, when you suddenly realise the hedges are casting an overgrown shadow on your newly dusted off deck chair.
And so our phone rings off the hook with hedge cutting requests, every year, regular as clockwork. And it's a good time to trim a hedge, before the strong growth spurts of the summer and just ahead of the bulk of nesting season (see our birds nest article here for details of how to stay on the right side of the law with bird nests) and keeping those hedges looking sharp, tight, and snazzy for summer. Nobody wants an untidy hedge for the big summer bbq.
At Southfleet Tree Servies our goal has long been to put our customers first, so instead of taking this busy hedge cutting period as an opportunity to rake in extra money, we are going to put our customers first and offer a discount. This is Hedge Your Bets month here at Southfleet Tree Services and that means every Hedge we trim gets 10% knocked off the final bill, even if they don't know about the promotion. Sharp edges mean satisfied hedges, so put a spring in your step and talk to the topiary pros, give us a call!
